Hi, what do you mean "for the zoom" ? You have to test the settings by yourself. Every day is different if are asking about contrast details etc

Why would you compaire a 25mk thermal to a 40mk? :) Of course the XP 2 would win.

Read a comment saying that the thermion 2 was <40 mk. I was just trying to correct them. Not comparing the two. I have the thermion 2 xp50 and it's unbelievable

This is BS. Infiray uses VOx sensor which is and always will be better in picture clarity than any a-si sensors that are currently used in Pulsar. Don't look at mk. For example Rico RH has <50mk and picture quality, detection range, visibility in fog/rain is way better than Thermion 2 XP which has <25mk.

@@huntingchannel The fact that such shots can go well does not mean that it is correct. And you certainly won't show if you've screwed up. I don't care if he "made his decision" THAT'S A NO GO, and you don't show something like that twice!

Hi Edoardo. Thank you for watching. The video above was recorded in thick fog. Thermion 2 has 40 mk sensor same level as the tube 40mk. I cant give you proper answer as i haven't looked trough the thermion 2. I compared the helion2 xq and the e3max v2. I believe both have the same sensors as the thermion2 and the tube. Infiray wins for me. Also if there is an issue with the devices ,infiray is much faster sorting you out. Send me an email to thermalhoghunt@gmail.com

Thats your opinion. I had the best settings for the thermion before I started recording. This isn't a marketing video. This is a user perspective video believe it or not.

I live a place where we have fog practically every other night half the year, unless it's raining, and I own an XQ38. It's heavily affected by fog, and the representation in this video looks exactly like my own experience with fog with another Pulsar Thermion device. Heat from a tiny mouse pierces the fog like a candle in the dark, but edges are blurred and identification harder. Mouse in fog after rain, about 40 meters away: ruclips.net/video/QAzLav2JUoE/видео.html Another mouse, 65 meters away, except dry and no fog. ruclips.net/video/Gs3IRDXOIUA/видео.html Filmed from the same place, different days, same general direction. First clip is about 30 meters to the left of the the second. It's almost impossible to make out the details once the terrain is wet, no fault of the thermal. ...however, I notice other thermals have clearer images in fog, and the general problem with the Pulsars in fog is indeed the lack of contrast, a Wall of Grey, that just as well could have been either spread out between white and grey in Black Hot or grey and black in White Hot, or just tended to be regarded as far colder than the living things. Pulsar should / could work on image quality / contrast in almost uniformly heated conditions.

I would pick the tube. But i recomend to go to a shop who sells both and look trough both.

I own the tube for a week, super device, very powerful, replica pulsar, but with 12 um ... 3 year warranty .... eyepiece of the tube is also larger than the thermion, nice to look through. ...good luck

Thermion XQ38 is my suggestion. Better thermal sensitivity and more advanced image settings. Holds high calibers without troubles. Tube TL is a good scope, but because of thermal sensitivity it loses contrast in the fog. On the website Infiray now has NETD values of <40 mk, but back in December they had it <50mK and nothing changed apart from that. Aparently they specified the true NETD value at first and then realised that competition had better values so they needed to fix it.

@@DavidJohnson-hd2ro as far as I know Infiray fitted their 40mk sensors before pulsar without telling anyone,. A year ago. Later on they updated the website.

Would you take the shot when the animal is behind the bush ? This isn't a spotter (I know can be used). Thermal for spotting ,NV for shooting is a good pair.

Ones it had a shutter problem,but hard resetting fixed it. Other that worked fine.

@@huntingchannel I'm using 6-24×50 Hawke Endurance.. Pulsar says it will work up to 8 mag.. I'm wondering if I have it pushed on too the scope too far.. like u same ur friends had issues when mounting.. Cheers for feedback

@@willieob4735 You have to push it all the way down, the problem is the 6x mag. You cant see the full screen. I would recommend to change it for a lower mag scope. Let say if you want to shoot further distances , you start recording etc on low mag ,say 3x then you start going up with the mag. Having the 6X as base mag is too much . You need Endurance 30 WA 2.5-10x50 if Hawk

Hi there, every day is different but when I use black hot I keep the contrast below 5 (the highest the number goes it makes it just a black color animal,without seeing the hair) , brightness 8-12. But as I said I always adjust it for the moment when I use it.

@@huntingchannel Okei, Always been using White hot, but after seeing this video it seems like Black hot gives a better image of the animals fur. I gonna try those contrast/brightness settings some day. Thank you👍
